Dotson updates recruiting

Two-star cornerback could plan his official visits soon. Will WKU make the list?

Mainland (Fla.) cornerback Meiko Dotson has a list of 11 top schools, including WKU.

His recruitment with the Toppers picked up in June, when coaches were on the road making visits.

"Coach (JaMarcus) Shepherd had came to our school and talked to me," Dotson said. "Then like a couple of days later I got that phone call and he let me know that they had offered me, and that he love what I can bring to the table."

While none of Dotson's top 11 schools standout to him right now, he said he could plan his official visits soon, and that WKU will likely make the cut.

"I'm just looking for a family oriented place," the two-star said. "Somewhere I feel comfortable around the people."

Dotson grabbed 8 interceptions as a junior at Mainland, including 2 against Central HS in Florida's Class 6A state semifinals.
