HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Head Coach David Elson, #38 Mike Gothard and #48 Ben Sowders are all smiles as the team sings "Happy Birthday" to them at the end of practice.
The Hilltoppers will take Monday off and return to the practice field on Tuesday. Game week is here and the team is preparing for opening day this Saturday, September 1 against the Florida Gators. Many believe the Hilltoppers will be as sheep led to the slaughter against the Gators. However, WKU will not be playing a sacrificial lamb's role this Saturday. The Hilltoppers are going to Florida to win. There is an old saying, "it's not the dog in the fight but the fight in the dog that makes a difference." This Hilltopper team has more than enough fight in them and they will be ready to play this Saturday.
