The Hilltopper Nation gathered in Diddle Arena and celebrated the 2007 WKU Football team last Friday night.
Head Coach David Elson started the evening off by announcing the 2007 senior class as they entered into the banquet hall with thunderous applause.
This was a special event to celebrate the team’s accomplishments and recognize players for superior performance on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.
After enjoying a fine buffet dinner and individual player awards, each senior addressed the crowd from the podium.
Coach Elson proudly announced seniors were graduating as he called them up to the podium.
As I watched each young man speak I could not help but think how proud their parents and coaches must feel.
This night, without a doubt, was a great finish to a historic 2007 season.
