Across the college football landscape, you constantly here about heated rivalry games such as USC VS Notre Dame, Alabama VS Auburn and Ohio State VS Michigan. There is always a mention of how these programs and fans do not like each other. Well, make no mistake about it; this rivalry game is as big as any rivalry game in the country. WKU and EKU simply hate everything about each other. You can have Louisville VS Kentucky all week and twice-on Sunday for all I care. The Battle of the Bluegrass is the only game for fans of both of these programs Saturday.

The rivalry game, it seems, will possibly cease as WKU has moved on to the D1A level of competition. Thursday morning WKU football players were met with a smelly dead skunk placed in front of the football office doors. The note on the door took away any question as to who left the carcass and what they felt about the Hilltoppers. Yes, the rivalry game may cease but the bitter dislike between WKU and EKU will most likely live on forever!
