Quentin Snider tears it up for Ky. All-Stars

Quentin Snider

University of Louisville freshman Quentin Snider had a big night for the Kentucky All-Star team on Friday at Transylvania University. Snider led the Kentucky Stars with 37 points, third all-time among Kentucky players in the series.

Quentin Snider has been enrolled at the University of Louisville and working out with the basketball team for two weeks.

But with the weekend off at U of L, Snider is playing in the Kentucky-Indiana All-Star game and on Friday night he left quite an impression.

Kentucky's Mr. Basketball hit 6 of 11 three-point field goals and scored 37 points in Kentucky's 104-94 loss to the Hoosier Stars at Transylvania University in Lexington.

Snider finished 12 of 21 from the field and also had seven rebounds and five assists in 37 minutes of action.

He has been slowed a little during his first two weeks by an ankle injury, but has not missed any time with the Cardinals.

Cardinal Authority sources said Snider "fits right in," with the U of L team and has been solid in his first two full-team practices.

The 37-point total was third all-time in the series among Kentucky players, trailing on Jim McDaniels and Rex Chapman.

Snider and the Kentucky Stars will try to salvage one game in the series when they travel to Indianapolis on Saturday night.
